Before the road test
- 180 days on the permitThe learner’s permit is held 180 days before the probationary licence.
- Minimum age16 years with driver education, or 16 years and 270 days without it.
- Signed logBring State Form 54706. A parent or legal guardian signs it if the learner is under 18; at 18 or older the learner signs.
