Before the road test
- Level 1 holding periodThe Level 1 licence is held at least six months before the skills test.

- 90 days without a violationA ticket, an at-fault crash, or a suspension restarts the 90 days.
- Classes and instructor timeFinish Segment 1, hold Level 1 for 3 months and log 30 hours with 2 at night, then finish Segment 2.
